Snowed in? No problem. Snow days are excellent opportunities to take some guilt-free relaxation time. Per usual, we have compiled a list of things to do so you can enjoy the extra family time and to help avoid getting cabin fever.
Have a Disney Movie Marathon
Everyone loves when ABC Family channel has their Sunday Disney Marathons, so why not throw one for yourself? Pick out everyone’s favorites, get some snacks, snuggle up with blankets and enjoy the show. I personally recommend Up!, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Toy Story, and Mary Poppins.
Start reading that book you’ve been “meaning to get to”
This one may not spark that much interest in the kids, but treat yourself to some pleasure reading time. A snow day is a the perfect time to say, “I can’t really go anywhere so I’m going to do something fun for me.” Leave us a comment and tell us what book you would go to first.
Tackle one of your household projects
This one may not be the most exciting one, but what better way to pass the time than to get to one of those organizational projects you’ve been meaning to get around to? It’s not like you can take care of your shopping list, right?
Teach the kids how to play a game they’ve never played before or Google card games you’ve always wanted to try and have everyone learn together. Everyone will be card sharks in no time.
Go outside and play!
The obvious choice for any snow day is to get outside in it. Build a snowman! Go sledding! Have a family snowball fight — kids verses parents? Game on! Get nice and chilly so when you come in for cocoa, it’s even better.
Be sure to leave us comments with your favorite snow day activities.
