SFMC team member Alexis Russell came in on Monday with a brand new look — a very short haircut. Not only is her haircut flattering, but it was for a great cause. Alexis donated almost 12 inches of hair to Locks of Love.
For those unfamiliar with Locks of Love, they are a public nonprofit organization that provides hairpieces to disadvantaged children under the age of 21 in the US and Canada who suffer from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. To learn more about Locks of Love, visit their website.
Alexis got her hair cut at Fashion Forward Salon in Haymarket, Va and they sent her hair to Locks of Love for her. This is Alexis’ second time donating to Locks of Love.
She says, “If I ever decide to go from long to short again, I’ll always make sure that I have at least 10 inches to cut so I can donate again.”
