If you enjoy the theatre, fine arts, hands on activities; helping a cause, writing short stories, and celebrations then this is the post for you! This seemingly endless winter can make you feel a bit stir crazy; which may have a hand in our cabin fever, but we can break the cycle by heading out into our communities, poking around, and seeing what’s going on. Well, we took care of the searching for you, and found some pretty awesome events that will be taking place this weekend through the next.

Spring will come; we promise you this! Until then, here is a list –as promised– of some fun, inspirational, and heart-warming activities going on in some of the communities in Northern Virginia.

Activities and Dates

City of Manassas: First Friday in Historic Downtown gives you the opportunity to see some fresh art from local artists

Manassas Ballet’s production of ‘Peter and the Wolf’ is a must see!

On the 28th, Dumfries will celebrate Black History month with an event that is sure to inspire us all to grow as individuals and as a community.

With an abundance of activities in your local area and in the neighboring communities, you are sure to stumble upon an activity that helps take your mind off the winter chill– at least for a few hours!
